At Minette’s Amazing Hair your satisfaction is my number one priority. Providing the city of Katy, a wide range of quality hair products and personalized hair salon services since 2016. I have an absolute passion for making my customers look and feel great. I have more than 30 years of experience in the salon business, completed advanced styling methods and cutting techniques training in L’Oreal, Goldwell, Toni&Guy, Vidal Sassoon, and Pivot Point.
My career began in the heart of South Africa in 1987, and my training proceeded with master stylists and professionals in Greece, Italy, Florida, Chicago, and Pennsylvania. I began teaching cosmetology to young hair styling enthusiasts at the age of 21 at various colleges and opened up my 4th successful salon in Florida in 2008.

Minette has been coloring and styling my very fine/flat hair for a while now and brings it to life. She even made custom extensions for me for special events. Salon has a parking lot and is just for Minette so it’s quiet and not a crowded salon. I drive very far just to stay with her even after I moved to a different city.

Minette's Amazing hair is amazing! I went to her after 2 salons the prior week to correct the mistakes the other salons made. She is very knowledgeable about all things hair! She is very personable and cares what the customer wants. She explained everything before hand and listened to me. I was that girl whose mom cut her hair for 35yrs of her life, not only did she do hair for a period of time, but she was my mom. I tell you that so you can grasp how difficult it was for me to find someone I could trust with my hair when my mom could no longer do it. I am so blessed to have found Minette. Yes, she may be busy and her prices are not those of your quickie, run of the mill, chain salons. Ultimately, you get what you pay for and so much more with Minette. Her knowledge and skill is astounding. Her genuine and friendly personality. Her professional ethics and goals seem to drive her motivation to always provide the best for her customers. Today I walked in and said...I want something different. She asked me a few questions and my answers were vague, but I told her that I trusted her judgment, expertise, skill and ability to help me discern what my next move should be with my hair. Minette did a great job with our daughter’s hair! She did a fabulous cut and she was able to recommend great products to help rehydrate her hair which was super dry. This will be our regular spot going forward!

Minette- is fantastic. She spent HOURS on my hair. and got it to look like a hollywood star. I came in and needed highlights. I was worried about using a new person and asking for a very dramatic change. Minette spent 7 hours until about 10:40pm, on a Friday to ensure it looked perfect. I had a baylage done and honestly I could not believe how transformed my hair was. She knew exactly how to do it, took on a difficult project, and made it look phenomenally healthy. I walked out happier than I have ever been. I honestly, am tempted to fly from SF to Houston once a year, simply to see her for my hair. She is not cheap, but she is great. If I got the same work done in SF or LA (where I typically do) it actually would be 4X her cost. Her student assistant was also very knowledgeable and engaging. I had a phenomenal experience and highly recommend Minette without hesitation.

Minette is an amazing hair stylist. She does a great job and knows what hair looks best for each person. She even helped me remove my black hair dye, which I dyed myself from box dye. Now I am a pretty strawberry blonde!
I have searched high and low to find a stylist that I can stick with.. no one has ever been able to do exactly what I want until now. Minette is truly a magician. She took the photo I showed her and gave me just that! She is friendly and personable and does wonderful work. She isn’t the closest for me but I will 1000% drive the distance for her.
